The Hantch Family in Marion County
In the 1800's at least one family with the surname Hantch (originally Hantsch), that of Jacob, may have migrated to Marion County, Indiana from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
While his wife, too, came from Pennsylvania, the children reported in the 1880 Census were born in Indiana.
I will shortly be adding these children to the infomation available through the hyperlink on Jacob's name, below. However, as yet the link between these families (from Pennsylvania to the one found in Marion County) is not firmly established. As of now, dates, the location of birth, the rarity of the surname and the naming pattern of the children suggest, perhaps strongly that the links are accurate.
